We are absolutely blessed to have numerous farmers markets dotting the landscape in Winchester and surrounding Frederick County. There are many that are open daily while others popup in different locations on different days during the busy season. If you live in the county and are looking to plan your trips to town to cut down on driving hopefully this guide will give you some ideas on the best days and routes to take.
We’ve included information on a few CSA’s that are available currently as well! CSA’s essentially allow you to pick up or have delivered packages of fresh produce and even meat on a set routine during the summer to take advantage of local farms.
Virginia Farmers Market
Like several of our farmers markets, the Virginia Farmers Market is truly a destination in Winchester, not only for produce but for the staff and amenities. This 4th generation farming family is a true Winchester landmark! Especially in the fall where families delight in taking photos with the train and pumpkins. Only open seasonally but they provide baked goods locally year round. Don’t miss the warm apple cider doughnuts!

West Oaks Farm Market
West Oaks now has two locations in Winchester with a new expansion on Middle Rd. There will be an event center for you to enjoy hosting your own gatherings on our farm and lots of pick your own options! Acres of fruit trees including apples, peaches, cherries, plums, & nectarines and fields of vegetables including sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, & a WHOLE lot more. They also have a CSA program available!

Marker Miller Orchards and Farm Market
Another 4th generation family that continues to increase their offerings. Special events, and a play area for kids bring families throughout the season. Each year Marker Miller adds to it’s selection of fruits and vegetables grown at the farm, as well as additional services such as pie baking and even wine tasting!

Homestead Farm
The Homestead Farm located on 522 is a county favorite offering fruits, vegetables, eggs, as well as baked goods like pies and even fudge and candy! They also have bluegrass jam sessions on Thursdays from July through November with dinner!

Freight Station Farmers Market
The Freight Station farmers market is a unique pop-up market that takes over the parking lot of Winchester’s Little Theatre. You’ll find a lot more than the typical produce at Freight Station, including Alaskan fish, grass fed meat, plants, soap, gelato, and more!

Old Town Winchester Market
The Old Town Winchester Farmers market strives to offer a wide variety of items for sale including in-season fruits, vegetables, artisan breads, cookies, cheese, grass fed beef, gluten free bread, cured meats, jam, eggs, honey and many other items (produce and items for sale may vary each week).
