Need a little help finding all the Halloween activities going on in Winchester this year? Here is a little handy guide for you and your family to get the most out of Halloween!
Sept 26 – Oct 31 Hill High Farm
Hayrides – Hop on the wagon to enjoy a hayride to our pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin (price includes pumpkin).
Corn Maze – We are home to the largest corn maze in the area! The corn maze is also open after dark on nights when the haunted house is open. Remember to bring a flashlight!
Moonlit Hayrides – Enjoy a moonlit ride to our pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin (price includes pumpkin). Remember to bring a flashlight! *Moonlit Hayride is NOT a haunted hayride.
Haunted House – Opening October 2, Haunted Nightmares is an indoor attraction is complete with guided tours, live actors, automated props, fog machines, black lights, loud sounds/music, strobe lights, and areas of total darkness.
Please note that The Pumpkin Patch is only open on weekends, and on Columbus Day. The Haunted House’s hours of operation vary from the Pumpkin Patch. Check the websites for details.
Admission Fee: Haunted House: $15, Hayrides: $6, Corn Maze: $6
Admission to the farm and parking is always free.

Oct 2 – Oct 31 – Devil’s Den
Come one, come all and be prepared for an experience in the macabre that will haunt you for the rest of your days…
The Devil’s Den will be open Friday-Sunday and also Thursday-Saturday the week of Halloween.

Oct 2 – Oct 31 Haunted Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Special Haunted Halloween scavenger hunt for the whole family! Purchase your tour map with clues at the Old Town General Store (106 S. Loudoun Street). Walk through Old Town and find “Winchester the Friendly Ghost” in each of the locations and receive your treat (one treat per location, per tour map). Turn in your tour map when you’re done and receive a prize! Also, enter to win free ghost tour tickets. Tours are $9.99 per person.
Oct 10 – Boo at the Zoo
Boo at Zoo is an inaugural fundraising event to benefit the programs and services of The Arc of Northern Shenandoah Valley. This family-friendly event will include:
• Park admission
• Hay maze & wagon ride
• Take home pumpkin
• Photo booth
• Costume parade/dance
• Magic show
• Story time
• Trick or treat stations
• Small carnival games
• Arts & crafts
• Face painting

Oct 17 – Zombie 5K and Monster Movie Night
Beware the zombies as you run, walk, or stroll through through the paths and trails at Clearbrook Park! Before dusk begins to settle on the park, will you have crossed the finish line or will you have fallen victim to the zombies? At check in for the race, be sure to purchase extra lives – you’re gonna need them! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers, and top master male and female.
All finishers will receive the official Zombie 5K commemorative medal.
Onsite registrations will receive T-shirts while supplies last.
Fee: $25
Proceeds benefit the local chapter of Special Olympics
Check in and onsite registration from 4-5 p.m.; race begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp

Join us after the Zombie 5K for a frightfully fun family night at the park!
Enjoy “Monster House,” a ghostly-good holiday movie for all ages, and grab a bag of goodies for the kids! Be sure to dress accordingly for the weather (plenty of blankets in case it gets chilly!) and bring a chair.
A spooky-good time will be had by all!

Oct 24 – Pumpkin Festival
Come find the “great pumpkin.” Choose from ones already picked or pick your own. Enjoy pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin bars and pumpkin donuts from our bakery. A variety of food will be available at the food building. Come and enjoy this free event!
Oct 24 – Halloween Spooktacular
Things will get spooky on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall on October 24th with the Old Town Winchester Spooktacular! Bring the family to enjoy a day full of Halloween fun.

Oct 24 – Halloween Costume Contest and Trunk or Treat
It’s time for the annual Halloween Costume and Trunk or Treat event! Last year’s event was a ton of fun and created many memories! Come join us for some great HALLOWEEN FUN!
Previous years’ activities have included:

Oct 31 – Haunted Halloween Ghostly Adventure
Ghost Tours Old Town Winchester Virginia presents the second annual Haunted Halloween Ghostly Adventure. This event includes a Halloween Costume Party Pub Crawl and Investigative Tour. Oct 31 – Halloween Cemetery Ghost Tour
This “hair raising” ghost tour through Mt. Hebron cemetery is for grown-ups only. Call ahead for reservations. 540-827-9948. Cost is $12 per adult.
